I myself have used the method specifically to strengthen my stage presence and charisma - an extremely effective tool that has also proven its worth in leadership communication and serves as a personal development instrument.
The alter ego method is based on the idea of creating an alternative identity that has specific strengths. This “second self” serves as mental armor to better master challenges. The method has experienced recently a renaissance since performance coach Todd Herman revisited it in the bestseller “The Alter Ego Effect”.
